Delete your account and data
You can delete your Attent account and all associated data at any time, directly from inside the app. This page explains exactly how, what gets removed, and how to reach us if you cannot use the in-app option.
Delete from inside the Attent app
The fastest way to remove your account is from the app itself:
- Open Attent on your phone.
- Go to Settings.
- Open the Account section.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
If your account is linked to Google, Apple, or email/password, Attent may ask you to sign in again before deletion to confirm the action. Anonymous accounts are deleted immediately without a re-sign-in step.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, Attent recursively removes your entire user subtree from our servers before the authentication record itself is removed. This includes:
- your contacts and their details (names, phone numbers, email addresses, notes, birth dates);
- your events, recurrence rules, and reminder rules;
- all derived occurrences and feed snapshots;
- AI-generated message suggestions cached for your moments;
- device registrations and scheduler state;
- your profile and preferences (default reminder time, locale, export preferences);
- your Firebase authentication identity.
After deletion, any residual cached data on your phone is removed by uninstalling Attent. Platform-level backups retained by Google Firebase follow Google Cloud's own retention schedule and are not individually retrievable.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the in-app option, for example because you lost access to the device or the linked sign-in account, you can request deletion by email:
Send a message to contact@thinkaholic.nl with the subject "Attent account deletion request", from the email address linked to your Attent account. If your account is anonymous or uses a different sign-in method, include enough detail (for example, the sign-in method and approximate creation date) so we can locate it.
We will confirm the request, verify ownership, and complete the deletion. The same data listed under "What gets deleted" applies to email requests.
